Samsung brings the S20 5G with mmWave
Verizon will be receiving their first lot of Samsung S20 handsets with mmWave in June. Subscribers of Verizon have an opportunity to pre-order Samsung’s Galaxy S20 from May 21.
Orders are expected to be delivered by June 4 at the delivery points. The older version of S20 has been made out of stock to increase the sales of an upgraded version in Verizon.
The older version of Samsung Galaxy S20 didn’t support 5G with mmWave. Samsung has added another flagship handset in the premium segment.
S20 5G with mmWave
Earlier, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra used to support 5G with mmWave.To make S20 series support mmWave Samsung launched the newer version of the base model this year.
Since Verizon’s entire 5G network is based on mmWave and base model couldn’t be utilised in that area without mmWavesupport.
Currently, Verizon is offering Cloud White colour with 128 GB storage for Samsung Galaxy S20 Base Model (New Version). Sub-6 5G network support is not available yet, but the company claims to provide Sub-6 5G network support by the end of the year.
Most probably Samsung Galaxy S20 5G mmWave supported handset would go live for sale this week in Verizon. For now, Pre-Orders have been started from May 21.
The new version of Base Model of S20 has been priced exclusively for $999 in Verizon.
Customers can opt for an EMI option which costs for $41.66 per month for two years. Pre-orders will start rolling out by June 4 in the city.
